Greetings from Costa Rica! I'm a graduate student at the University of Costa Rica in the Cognitive Science Master's Program. I'm really interested in working on General Game Playing, specifically with the Prolog Programming Language.
I've downloaded the Prolog Basic Player, but I've noticed that is implemented in the ECLiPSe platform. Nevertheless I would like very much to migrate the basic player to the GNU Prolog, or to the SWI-Prolog environment mainly for practical reasons. But the problem for me is that I'm very new to the Prolog programming language. So, I was wondering if anyone has any idea where I could find a Prolog Basic Player for GNU Prolog o SWI Prolog.
If no implementation for GNU or SWI Prolog are available, I just as well would like to hear any informed opinions on wether the migration of the existing ECLiPSe Prolog player to GNU or SWI Prolog is way too cumbersome.
Really appreciate any insights!

Hi from Poland, First of all, please be prepared that using a prolog inference engine can put you out of contest in comparison to highly optimized engines such as propnets. However, of course Prolog has advantages and I can guess that in many cases it is good enough. I am aware that there was a version of Ary General Game Playing program available for download which used SWI Prolog. You probably need to know C and French to make advantage of it, though AryThere is also CadiaPlayer which uses Yet Another Prolog (YAP): Cadia
