Hello! When I began work on GGP.org several years ago, one of my long-term goals was to create a single archive of all of the recorded GGP matches (or at least, the vast majority) that researchers could use to discover interesting things. For example, which roles in games are easy or hard, in practice? How skilled are players in comparison to one another? How has player behavior in Connect Four on Tiltyard changed from year to year? And so on. I'm working on an important step toward that goal: providing bulk downloads of the GGP.org match archives, along with tutorials about how to run some sample analyses on these bulk match archives. You can now read these tutorials, and download all of the matches published to GGP.org between 2009 and 2013, at GGP.org/researchers. I'm definitely not done -- there's a lot more work to do, improving the documentation about the formats being used, particularly for the live feed. But I'd like to start getting feedback from folks on this forum about the material that's on GGP.org/researchers now. Does it seem useful? Is there anything that's confusing or unclear? What direction would you like to see this go in? Thanks! -Sam
