Hello, In a effort to prepare for the competition to come in a month, we are already busy creating new games of our own. But it never hurts to have new ideas. Here is a rather amazing example made by a student of the Fall 2013 GGP Coursera. It is likely still too hard for the current generation of players, especially as long as there is no protocol for communication between players. But it's a very nice example of what can be done. We are interested in games that exhibit some of the following concepts : - Games that are interesting to watch. It's really nice to see fifty people all absorbed in the match during the grand finals last year
- Game that have concepts that can be defeated. Factoring is one such concept that has been pushed for quite some time
- New games with radically new concepts. For example, last year, there was a game where the terminal proposition was entirely disconnected from the goal propositions. A bit like how in Harry Potter, you would score in Quidditch normally with the Quaffles and capturing the Golden Snitch just ends the game (and doesn't score points)
Of course, we won't tell you which game we picked (and if we did, we would probably modify them a bit), but let that not refrain you from sharing ideas! You are welcome to discuss it on the dedicated subforum
