How about a slightly different way of generating factored games:
N-way Selective X, where X is any game that satisfies the constraint that the moves on which (non-noop) choices are available follow a deterministic pattern independently of any choices of moves made by the players (so any strict alternation game of two players for example).
To turn X into Selective X instantiate N instances of X, but with common control-setting-logic (i.e. - whose turn it is is a global concept, but sub-game state are independent). In any turn it is legal for the player to play any ONE move of the union of choices from all subgames (i.e. - you get to choose which instance you play in, which of course gives an opponent potentially 2 turns in a row in at least one other instance).
N is arbitrary, as is the number of roles involved in X, provided the strict sequencing of who has control is obeyed (e.g. - this would work with N player free for all say).
For example 2-way Selective Connect 4 - there are 2 connect 4 boards, same role is red on both. On each turn you can choose which board to play in (if it's your turn else a global noop is forced).
In fact there is already one example of this pastern, though it may inadvertently be so, which is Breakthrough w/walls (two independent 4-wide games of breakthrough, and you must choose which to play in)
2-way selective 6 player Chinese checkers might actually be interesting!

There is always the possibility of simply porting existing board games into GDL: This is a list of the most popular board games around the world: www.boardgamegeek.com/browse/boardgameMost of them would require GDL-II though. Suggestion: Agricola A sub-list with most of them being GDL-I friendly is here: www.boardgamegeek.com/abstracts/browse/boardgameSuggestion: Hive The 2 suggestions are visually nice to watch. Not counting being quite popular, having high skill correlation and being hard to analyze without domain-specific heuristics.

Ooo - Hive, I hadn't thought of that. I'll add it to my massive backlog of interesting GGP things (until somebody beats me to it).

Hi, I just signed up to this interesting place. My avatar was constructed long-ago from components of tophat sudoku, long story with lots of possibilities. You can explore at Botchee.com
Be glad to supply a couple of games for award. Flipping Dice is an iOS app now available on iTunes.
